Voile

Voile is a transparent woven fabric that is used for curtains, it is a versatile lightweight, semi-sheer fabric of wool, silk, rayon, or cotton, normally polyester, constructed in plain, printed or embroided weave.

Voile has taken over from the norm of net curtains in the last decade or so, its qualities fitting in with the minimalist, streamlined fashioned trends. Voile curtains are also used for privacy and also to diffuse the sunlight streaming through certain window aspects, its purpose to protect drapes and furniture from the fading effects of the sun.
